Tell Us About Yourself and How Your Journey As a Food Blogger Began.
I belong to Lucknow although my home town is Jaipur, Rajasthan. I am currently living in Lucknow. My passion for food began when I was very young and thereafter I started sharing pictures of scrumptious dishes and places offering delectable food.
It fascinated me a lot. An avid traveller and food influencer, I have been managing my Instagram handle since 2018 and it’s almost been 5 years. As my followers appreciated my work, I started putting more time and effort into photographing and styling my work. Over a while, I built a small community with similar tastes and liking.
Instagram apart, I have worked with Gujarat Tourism to promote scenic tourist places, temple towns, beaches and wildlife sanctuaries.
What is Your Educational Background?
I have done my Bachelor of Commerce from Lucknow University, and a Course in digital marketing. This has helped me to handle my Instagram handle and promotions with finesse.
What Are Your Interests, Something That You Would Like to Do Daily?
I love watching cricket, especially those head-on matches where there is a fight to the finish. It motivates me to see a team struggling and suddenly reversing the game altogether.
As food blogging interests me, I like travelling a lot and tasting food across different regions in India. Food showcases the variety and richness of culture. It is a unifying bond across religions, communities and cultures.
How Do You Like to Travel And Do You Have a Specific Aim in Mind While You Travel?
It all depends on the destination. Sometimes I prefer to travel by air and sometimes I love to visit places by road. But as I am a solo traveller I like road trips the most. On such trips, I try to explore more. So, accordingly, I carry the gadgets. I prefer taking a Scooty on rent to travel and explore more on a tight budget.
Is There Any Specific Place in India and Abroad That Interests You?
I would love to travel to London and explore the cuisine there. Of course, my all-time favourite is Jaipur. The Pink City is close to my heart and I love to travel to it again and again.
Tell us About Your Favourite Cuisine, Something Which You Prefer And is Also Your Comfort Food.
I am a vegetarian so basically, I like South Indian food but Italian cuisine also interests me. I would love to experiment and explore it. Be it the hot ‘n’ spicy sambhar, the soft idlis or the crispy dosas, I am delighted by South Indian cuisine.
As far as Italian cuisine is concerned, I love lasagna and risotto. Of course, pizzas and pastas are all time favourite.
What Do You Love to Do While Travelling?
I travel a lot so I love to explore new places and exotic food. I believe that food mirrors the culture of the place. Every region has their unique mix of spices and local ingredients.
As a flood blogger, it is my privilege to present such awesome flavours and regional delicacies to my dedicated community. I do try my best to keep it original so that people find the dish and the place I have showcased in my blog similar.
Which City Or State You Would Like to Visit Most?
As I was born and brought up in Jaipur, Rajasthan my heart is Rajasthan. So, my favourite city is Jaipur. The scenic forts like Amber Palace, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, traditional handicrafts and the aura of the city appeal to my heart and senses. I never seem to have enough of it.
I am a beach person, mostly I like to visit beaches to relax. Beautiful beaches with white sand and strong waves attract me a lot. But I also love going to the mountains, going to the mountains means becoming one with the rhythm of nature. It means admitting that you are small compared to the infinite nature of a mighty mountain.
What Do You Think About Social Media And Blogging in India?
I believe we are all a part of the World Wide Web and each one of us has the right to create and post content. Of course, it has to be original, high-quality content. We need to offer fresher and newer perspectives all the time. This is important as it makes you stand out of the cluttered space.
I always strive to reflect my personality in my work and that is what makes it original. Also, in this way, fewer people can copy and paste your work.
